Steven Lurie

FOUNDING PARTNER

Steven Lurie is the founder of Team Builder Ventures, a venture capital firm to help founders build world-class teams.

Steven was a member of Zynga’s Executive Staff from the early days of the company through the IPO where he was the first Head of Mobile before building a team in India and heading International.

Steven was one of the few Zynga employees to win the company’s two top awards: The Spirit Award (for attitude) and the Atlas Award (for achievement).

Previously, he was CEO of Advice Company, a leading legal advice service, and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at MHS Capital. Steven was part of the original management team at Ingenio, backed by Benchmark and the pioneer of pay-per-call advertising before an acquisition by AT&T in 2007.

Steven held a variety of roles at Microsoft, including in the enterprise software division, from 1993-1999 and twice earned the highest employee quarterly rating.

Steven co-founded the Full Circle Fund, a philanthropy group helping social entrepreneurs. He also organized Run for Teachers in honor of his late sister and to benefit school children in India and Louisiana from 2009-2017. Steven is a participant in the Swim Across America swim in the San Francisco Bay to raise money for childhood cancer research and was the #1 national fundraiser in 2017.

Steven graduated from Stanford University and Harvard Law School.
